How many people here buy from Rock Auto?

I always check rockauto and have bought much from them, especially if a "factory discontinued" item. Ditto above on shipping, it is often more costly than the item, in which case I usually cancel it. Rock is about the best site for cross-referencing what fits on which cars and I use them for that often. It seems most items are drop-shipped from other companies, so they aren't really a stocking distributor but they certainly are value-added by providing good details, photos, and multiple parts choices. I have been "NA'ed" only a few times. They kept showing a pre-72 904 tranny rebuild kit for an amazing $25, but never delivered 3 times. I called them and they responded by dropping the listing.

My advice is to buy critical parts whenever you see a deal. That takes a lot of time, and you would then be another ebay troll competing with me, but no substitute for having a part on the shelf ready to go, rather than having your car out of service for months while you pursue futile leads on a part. It is also fun to try different ignition and fuel systems, and such. Whenever I upgrade, I usually leave a path back to the factory design ,which works great in emergencies.
