I might suggest looking into AAA which has some great maps of all the states you may visiting. It will list attractions and maybe help you decide where you can get the most out of your visit, keep us posted and enjoy your visit here, Joe

Thanks for the tip on the Don Garlitts museum - that's a must!

The only fault I can find with the plan so far is that we totally miss Alabama... There didn't seem to be a sensible solution to that yesterday without doubling back, but I had a better look today and now have a revised plan that takes us Atlanta-Birmingham-Nashville rather than just Atlanta-Nashville. Still means we miss the coast, but there's a limit to what we can do.
