I'm thinking about a 500HP small block with a 4 Spd. My question is should I do a 8 3/4 or spend the extra $ for the Dana? This will be a street/strip car. It will see more street then strip but either way I drive my cars hard. I know a 8 3/4 is a pretty strong rear end but the Dana is a great rear end. Thanks for any input.

You are leaning toward the Dana,so that is probably the only one that you will truely accept.The 8 3/4 has been used behind a bunch of engines so correctly set up it will take a bunch of beatings.Just sounds like you want the Dana so correctly set up it will do you justice.

Yep, cause when you cheap out, it just costs more in the long run. Plus those Dana's aren't going to be cheaper later on.
