$875 too high?

I love when the guys back east talk about cars but if you notice when they go to sell them they always put in calif, ariz no rust car. I think it is worth it if it is rust free I have a 63 dart rustfree and would not even consider that price. If it where by me I would buy it. Some of the prices I have seen mentioned here are way to low, try to find one. The parts on this car are worth more than the asking price.

Exactly which parts on this car are worth more than the asking price?? None of the suspension, driveline, or 4 door interior parts will fetch hardly any money. That leaves the front fenders..OK, they are worth something if they are in decent shape, the hood ..Ok, that too. The grilles look to be junk, the taillights may be the same, the drivers side air box maybe and the dash pad if it isn't trashed, but I don't see the $$$!!

I have owned/do own a number of 66 Valiants and Barracudas and I am pretty versed on the pricing of components from these cars. If you are buying this car to part out yes you may make your money back, but does that pay for all your time and effort to strip, clean, list, pack and ship items?? I doubt it!! You'd be better off leaving it just the way it is and driving it like the OP's friend is planning to do. QWhich brings me back to my guesstimate... it's a $500.00 dollar car almost everywhere but in the inflated west!!JMO, Geof
