Just curious how many of you drive your A-body as a daily driver rain, shine, or snow?

gotta go grab my camera saw a 4-door dart locally yesterday covered in about 6" of snow in Flagstaff, AZ

Only if you don't keep it clean. It has been here since the 80's and driven year round.

That does help, but salt still gets inside the doors and fenders where you can't wash it out. Nice car, by the way.

Thanks, I like it so far. Still have some stuff to do on it.

I would if WI wasn't salted so heavily. and I wasn't afraid of idiots who suddenly don't know how to drive in winter.

everyday..shes a little cold blooded but drives beautifully...

I used to drive my 69 340 Swinger year round in Ohio when I was in high school back in 1973-74. However it did take it's toll on it because of the humidity & salt they used to use.

Here in Colorado they now use magnesium chloride and I wouldn't drive one here. I do have a 69 Dart /6 that I used to drive here year round. Kind of a "Flinstone Mobile" these days. LOL

In NC we don't get much snow. But I will find out what it's going to be like here in Tulsa.

Nope shes tucked warm in the garage, snow is what the 4x4 plow truck is for. Plus most idiots in Rockford IL can't drive when it rains, yet alone snow.

Nope not at all. Its not a trailer queen. But its my baby so I don't drive it in the rain or snow unless I just have to. Not that the car isn't nice enough but all of the other idiots driving. I get scared all the time in sunny weather driving it people just not watching what they are doing.

Thats what they make sacrificial cars like hondas, toyotas, subarus and vws for. Yeah you can drive it in the snow, but I always tried to buy a cheap foriegn car to trash in the winter and then junk it in the spring. Long live A Bodies!

My present one no. It did see snow once. Backed it out of the garage to
take some pics.
My first Duster, my 71. I drove year round. But that was back in 73-75.

My '74 spends the Winter months hibernating.

It's suicide trying to drive it in the Rain, the rear end wants to pass the front anytime I touch the throttle. I wouldn't dare try driving that thing in the snow

That and it's a cold blooded monster.. No Choke, No Heat Crossover, No Heat Riser.

In the winter I drive around in a 5.2L 4x4 Extended Cab Dodge Dakota with a 8.5' Snow Plow, Cap/Top & Stone/Ballast (truck weighs in at 7,900 pounds in full winter "gear") And when I'm not driving the Dak. I've got a Small Block (273) powered Dodge D50 4x4 with 40" Tires and a 10k Winch

drive a 70 Dart 4 door year around; The body is rough but everything works (today). Treated the rust and then covered the holes up with flashing to pass inspection. Good snow tires, sandbags in trunk and a very defensive driving style. Car was bought for $300 and we are going on our 14th month.

Before I sold my 71 Duster, it was my daily driver a few years ago. It was great in the snow! I used to put used motor oil down the inside of the rear quarters and the wheel wheel seams from the trunk, also inside the front fenders behind the wheel from inside the door jamb. I would let it drip out over night, and place card board on the ground so it would not make a mess. The body didn't get any worse.
