Okay, so IF i decide to swap out the engine to a 340 or 360, it'll work with my the manual 4 speed that's in there right? Probably need a better cluth, any recommendations?
You will probably use the bell housing and flywheel off the 273 engine there may be balancing issues depending on the engine you use and the year of it.
The 273 is internally balanced, some 340 and I think all 360 factory motors are externally balanced. So if you are rebuilding an engine you will have to internally balance it. You should probably upgrade the clutch from the stock9.5" to 10"-10-1/4" performance clutch.
