1973 Dart Swinger Owners + 17" Rims

-
Two of the tires (the 245/45-17s) are coming direct from Yokohama, so it might be next week before they get in.

Plus the plug on my slip yoke is leaking on the X-pipe (picture smoke plumes). I gotta cure that before I drive across town to Discount Tire. I should have that fixed this weekend.

Wheels and tires are on.

245/45-17 on 17x7 rims with 0 offset fit in the rear with room to spare. If I wanted to work the fender lip, I could probably go with a 255 rear tire. No spacers were needed.

I spent so much time thinking about the rears that I didn't pay close attention to the fronts. 17x7 with 215/50-17 on 17x7 rims is tight as hell and rubs on the fender lip. I might be able to make em work after I do some fender lip rolling and cutting.

I'll post pics up later.

Any progress on the pic's ? My rear's are mounted but the front info will really help !!!

Sorry for the delay. Family in town, cutting a hole in my hood and changing the cursed wiper bushings on the Dart (still not done).

Hammered the fender lip in, just past the fender trim and did a little gentle tugging on the edge of the wheel opening and the tires now clear in the front.

Now for the pics...

No rubbing anywhere at full lock. I haven't taken a turn at 35 mph+. That might reveal new issues. The car isn't currently registered or inspected, so it will be a month or so before it'll be state inspection ready. I'll update then.

I wish I could get the front end a bit lower, but the tires and low TTI header collectors won't allow it.

Maybe hard to see from the pics but my 17's set about the same in the front, The Wilwood kit is what through me for a loop its pushed the rims out maybe a 1/4inch compared to stock. Does not rub but I would rather have the tire tucked in a little more.

Did anything special have to be done to make them fit ?
Im looking to put 10.5" on the rear of my 69 dart, do you think ill need to mini tub ?

Im really not sure yet, from what ive been told my wheel + tire inflated cannot be more then 9.5"s so im not sure what size of tire that would be.
