Jay Leno at a car show in Calif.

That siren is not the one. The HEMI powered sirens is what you want!!

But I 'specially liked the 80 --some year old lady with the 12 second 'Cuda

I agree with you. If you're gonna have a siren, it's got to be powered by a hemi! Wouldn't that wake up the neighborhood on a quiet Sunday morning!

The 83 year old lady was cool too! Loved the car and she drag raced it too. How cool is that. How about that 60 Chrysler 300 with the long arm cross rams on it!

They have been bringing that siren to the Fling for a few years now. It is very cool. Jay always shows up driving some kind of cool Mopar. Last Fling he was driving a Hemi Duster.

He may or may not NOW, but I'm sure he USED to. He's talked previously about working on a Mustang when young. Go over to his site and look through the videos. There was one where he shows firsthand, how to fire up a Stanley Steamer, and had a little "puff back," evidently singed a few hairs.

My niece works for Jay Leno. Last week she got me some seats for the show. That particular day, Jay drove to the studio in his 1934 Chrysler Airflow! Great Car. I got to meet him.

Yes. This is just a new Mopar powered Siren project the guy is working on. I guess the Hemi powered one wasn't enough.

He fired off that Hemi powered Air Raid Siren at a Fall or Spring Fling once before. Key word is ONCE. The park rangers and police didn't think it was such a great idea afterwards. We asked them ahead of time. But they had NO IDEA it was going to be that loud!!

:eek:ops:

Setting off an Air Raid Siren in the middle of Los Angeles probably isn't the greatest idea. Also the show is right next to an Army reserve center.... But it was still cool as hell. Once is better than never.

I saw this one in the WP Chrysler Museum:blob:

Jeez. Who needs the siren when the hemi is running open headers.

I still say take that air siren out to the salt flats. Put a 572 Hemi superchargered to 1500+ HP and see how loud that thing can really get!!!
Also that 83 year old woman with the 71 440 sixpac cuda rocks! That fact its all original and runs 12.9 is just awesomeness!!!

But did you hear it run like this one at Fall Fling 2009 ?:

This is prior to full restoration. It's still got some of its original patina on it at that point.
