Another way of saying what I said above (and that other people have alluded to in this thread, yes, I read it all): The Dart was the Neon of it's day. It wasn't the Viper or even the Challenger. It was the Neon. They made some ACR and other hi-perf Neons, but 99.9% of them were basic economy car transportation, and that's what most people thought of when they thought of a Dart in the '60s and '70s, just like a Neon now. They didn't think "race car" like we do LOL
