I was at a car show today and over half of the cars there sit in garages/trailers

Yes, built it myself, somewhat designed after a late 40's Modernistic, kind of fun cause I scrounged as much of the stuff as I could, stumbled on the plywood on craigslist. I know pulling it behind the Dart is kind of mixing eras.

It looks great. I need to build one for my Valiant

I drive the hell out of mine, I try and avoid rain because the combo of gears, 440 and crappy tires turns it into straight lining sideways. That and frankly i'm doing a lot of sheet metal work, but not enough done to protect it from rain yet. Once its done all the seals replaced everywhere and the underside undercoated to hell in back, I might change my mind about driving in the rain...

[/IMG]and yea I do drive my dart everywhere. It will be taken me to work friday and even let the daughter drive it.

When is it gonna take you to the track again?

Gonna let the daughter's boyfriends drive it?

I got a 8.39 in last Sunday. The 340 is coming out this weekend...

Now that the Edge of the Earth is starting to chill, I'm driving the Dart more. The Demon is strictly a fair weather driver. The only time either of them has been on a trailer is when they were inert.

Was raining here in Western KY yesterday. I drove the dart and put bout 160 minles on her. SHE LOVED IT.

My Cuda is driven in rain, never really see snow with the car - thats where i draw the line.

The car goes on weekend trips to carlisle, with the wife and 2 kids, we load it up for vacations etc... It's how I was brought up -

I was brought hom in a '70 Challenger 383 4 speed, we took it on vacations all while I was growing up - black interior, black top, duals and NO AC!

lol

good times!

i drive mine all the time right now. i might not take it in snow as much when i got to a 440 but ill cross that bridge when i get to it. need to see about tire spin and braking. well see how it does, but that wont be for a while yet anyway.

I bought mine to drive to Vegas. I"ll have 6k in the suspension before it gets painted. This is being built for Vegas and back 4-5 times a year. It is now getting sways, torsions and Hotchkis leafs. This will be driven alright.

My Dart gets driven in all weather but snow/salt. It goes sideways down dirt roads, over speed bumps scraping headers, and down the track on a regular basis. I drove it to the dentist in the rain a few weeks ago. LOL. It's too fun with the 4-speed NOT to drive.

Now the Challenger on the other hand is a diva. Only comes out on the sunniest of warm days. Not my call though, that one is my husband's baby.

I drive my cars as much as I can and they have all been in the rain a few times. I prefer not to drive them in the rain that if I'm out and it starts raining oh well! I've driven my '64 Barracuda and '69 Road Runner on several 200 mile round trips with no problems. I'm seriously thinking of driving the 300 miles one way to Carlisle next year with the Road Runner.

well my car was both i guess.. i would trailer to the race and drive on the street....loved to drive it on the street...kinda miss it now but getting close ...:D:D

caught in the trailer at the show last weekend...:eek:ops: lol

Drive mine all the time in the snow just this morning, rain doesn't matter when I want to drive it I do. I do have another which is my primary driver but the deciding factor on that is gas mileage. I enjoy washing it just as much it is good stress relief therapy!

Always drive mine! So do my buddys! I have to say I dont like getting caught in the rain! But we always drive. We drove to Hot August Nights in 2009 in a day! Was awesome!

I love driving mine to short shows , and around town . But i do not ever drive in rain unless i get caught a little in it .I have had my dart for 6 years now and i have only washed it once the day it arrived , other then that it never gets wet.
