Went to the WiseGuys Showdown at my local race track WIR and this wicked fast Duster was there, anyone know anything about it?? I talked to one of the team members briefly as they towed it to the staging lanes but they only thing he knew about it was it has a 496, he didnt know if it was a wedge or a hemi. They sprayed the crap out of it ran mid 7's first pass, (and yeah he beat that blown camaro) then it was all over the track second pass, and never came back out after that. maybe they broke something. Cool car anyway..

Thanks Hemidart you are correct, giving me his name I googled it and I came up with a youtube video of the 7.75 run he laid down on Saturdays show.

I see that car at GLD all the time, it's a nasty girl alright. Last time I talked to them they weren't really all about telling people what was up with the car, think he's also a chitownracing.com member.

I found out a little more about the engine, it has a Keith Black block and Predator heads, and hitman nitrous system, and it's 496 CI, to me that means $$$$, and i found a video of the car at GLD also.

Lost for words . I love it! I can't wait until my son gets home to show him these videos. I know the first thing he'll ask is . I wonder if its forsale.

I hate fords those are all the ones I laid to rest theres some chevy's on there 2
 
It all depends on the track most of the time it goes straight and sometime its a handful

Wow! Extremely cool car. I am reminded of the Davenport Duster,which used to run tracks here in B.C back in the 80's /90's. Was bright yellow,had a hemi and ran about the same times. Not sure what happened to it. Heard it was crashed..
 
I'd imagine a ladder bar car running 7s would be MORE than a handful...lol. Just out of curiousity - Why the 2sp 727? Wouldnt a 'glide or Ultraglide be better suited and stronger/lighter?
 
Yeah dom good but im comin after him this year. He is gonna have to work his *** off this year

I like having the option in have all 3 gears or not ....and depens on track cond if track is awaome ill use all 3 if the track itsnt thar great ill use my 2nd gear to launch the car to take out some of the violence of 1st gear....all the vids u see here are 2nd gear starts except the wir vid that 1 I used all 3 gears
