Do you by chance mean header and not head? Did you take the cylinder head off? If you did can you take a pic of the gasket and head surface? I find it hard to believe that the gasket is OK. From your compression test I still say its gotta be the gasket pushed into the valley--very common on 4 and 6 for some reason. J.Rob
