Has anyody bought/ sat in/ or known anybody with Procar bucket seats? I'm looking at buying some new Procar Rally 1000 bucket seats (blue) to go with the interior of my 1973 swinger. I'm integrating a blue interior (rear seats, door panels, some trim) with black accents (dash and dash cap, A-pillar trim, carpet, upper door trim moldings). I'm thinking the dark blue in these seats will help with the blue-to-black integration, and the seats look awesome. However, I've never seen any at car shows around here or heard of anybody using them.
Just wondering what anybody thinks or knows about Procar and their line of seats.
Thanks

-Mike

I have a pair of the Rally Series 1000 seats in my Swinger. They are a pretty comfortable seat if your not too large (Im 5-11 and 170 lbs). They can use a little more lumbar support. But otherwise I've put in pretty good hours driving in them. The mounting brackets can use Grade 8 Hardware instead of Grade; which is what I did. Good luck.

Thanks a bunch. I'm also 5'11" and ~180-200, depending on the season, so I should fit alright.
How do they look in there? Any chance of posting a picture?

I put these on original 1968 bucket seat tracks. They make the seat WAY high. I'm 5'8" and if it wasn't a convertible my head would rub.

Do you think the height will be an issue if I use their seat bracket adaptors made for my car? I will need them because I am converting from a bench to bucket seats.

I think I spot a small tear in the drivers side seat. How are they holding up overall? Would you recommend them?

I don't think you have a problem with thier supplied seat brackets. I was just doing it on the cheap.

I had those seats out in the sun in my car for 8 years. It ripped when I put my weight directly on that seam when trying to reach something in the back seat. I bought them not installed from a private party, but I don't know how long they sat in the box after manufactured. I was dissappointed when they ripped, but when I think of all the circumstances together, I can't complain much.

The material is not as thick as OEM seat material I will admit. But I haven't seen any aftermarket vinyl seat that were much better.

I have the procar elite lumbar seats. I love them. Very comfortable on ling rides.

I'm 5'11" and 200 pounds and for just fine behind the wheel.

I think that any aftermarket seat will be a compromise.
The summit seats I have in my car are comfortable, and sit about the same height as factory buckets using summits universal aliminum brackets.
What I do not like about them is the side boosters are too big.
It makes them hard to get in and out of the car.

Joe, those seats look great! However, I am 6'3" and about 215 (with rather long legs). Do you think they'd fit me in my "new" Demon? Car did not come with any front seats so I am going to be looking to get something to put in there...

don't see why you wouldn't fit. they go way back. i put them pretty far forward and slightly reclined. i would say they sit as high as the stock ( un beat to death) bench seat did.

Not to hijack (maybe just a little), but has anyone put any of the Summit seats in an A-Body with the factory console?

Thank you all for the responses and pictures. I appreciate it. I think I'm seeing some Procar Rally 1000s in my near future...
