in one of the first statements, someone says something about them putting smog pumps on our cars in 86? i have never seen a 70- 340 car with a smog pump......?
That might be me. I was generalizing, Mopar, Ford, GM. GM used smog pumps "right out of the hole" in 68
Mopar "snuck by" with advance curve mods, hotter stats, leaner carbs, modified cam timing. Many guys used to look at there 68-- Mopars and try and tell me "they don't have any smog junk." Oh, yeah, they did, you just could not SEE it.
