They are actually a great motor never understood why it was discontuined learned to drive on one in a 67 Dart back in the day.Imangine how much power they would have with today's techno advances?
Because they were making the switch from RWD to FWD and the slant is a little long to use for FWD. The 2.2-2.5 actually was like a cousin of the slant six.
You're right though,an all aluminum, DOHC, direct injected, twin turbo slant would be awesome!!!
