Can anyone tell me how far apart the screws are spaced on 15" wheels? I know you can buy a guide or something but I was hoping someone might know.

depends on how many screws you want to put on the wheel....

figure the circumference of the wheel..then divide by the number of screws..should give distance between them...lay them out with a marker...and you might need to do some eyeball engineering ...

C= diameter x pi...

c= 15 x 3.1416

c= 47.124

47.124 divided by 8 screws =5.8905 inches around the perimeter of the wheel

I bought one of those lay out wheels from jegs....lol

you need one of those old school projectors. on any circle evenly divide it by the # of screws you will use, then use the projector to enlarge it to 15" diameter.
years ago my friend & I used eyeball engineering-- worked great. (besides-- it is hard to tell the spacing when spinning)

also felt tip markers would help .

Hi Jeff You don't need any screws . I haven't used any screws for years and no problems . Good luck. Tom

NHRA Stock class cars don't run screws anymore. I don't run them, and my friends cars don't run them either. We're running 9" slicks, turning 11s with no issues. I have marked the wheel/tire with shoe polish and they haven't budged.
Chuck.

This depends on how hard the car hooks and how much air pressure you run. At 7.5 psi with 14.5 tire on a 15" rim I'm putting screws in it. I just put ten on each side, the spacing is already there just look at the mounting holes.

I have 16" wide rims 16.5 x 33 tires 1.25 sixty ft. 9lbs. of air and no screws. 2800 lbs. duster and runs 8.86 at 152 mph.

Thank You Guys for all the inputs. I have it taken care of now.
