Completely understand, Hey a clean garage means you are not enjoying it.

Maybe clean is not the right word, how about a roomy garage?

i use to have a ton of room then got married and yeah we all know what happens then..........like the steel shelving rated to hold 1000 lbs per shelf now it holds totes of old clothes

Used to have 24 x 36 fully finished detached garage. Could fit 2 cars comfortably with plenty of room to work. Moved 2 years ago and now have a 22 x 22 garage with a second floor stairway taking up a bunch of usable room. New garage barely holds my Dart and tools. Currently trying to replace the motor in the Dart and hate having to work with no room. It sucks always having to move something to get to something. Not to mention pushing the car out into the driveway to pull the motor.

30X40X12 Getting a Lift soon The rest has been completed

I ran out of room in my garage at home so I have to rent a shop 40'x40' a couple of blocks away.

I have a car and a half garage with a full upstairs over-the staircase. The problem is I am a general contractor, flintlock gun builder, knife maker, and still have to try to keep room for my 71 valiant 2dr hardtop(rust bucket). That I am trying to make street strip worthy. The upstairs is my wood, knife, gun shop. Downstairs is car and CONSTRUCTION STUFF. I could use every bit of a BIG pole barn with a loft. BUT I have a garage so I better stop crying!

I had this 30x26 carolina carport put up a couple of years ago.
I like the size, but I regret not having a slab poured.
The pic is while I was building the front wall and installing roll up doors.
saved $4K doing that.

I still ran out of room (funny how that ALWAYS happens), so I had to go "outside of the box".
The opportunity presented it's self, so I ended up buying this mini-warehouse complex.
One 4800 sq ft (I beam) building and one 3600 sq ft (C channel) building.
I'm using two of the 12x20 units, and three more are available, plus a 20x20.
Just finished the books on my first month of operation, and cleared $65 after all bills and taxes.
I've got 26K up front in it, but I doubt I could have built a six car garage for that :)

I envy alot of you guys that have garages on your own property and some of them are HUGE!!! I live in a co-op apartment and they will only rent you 1 garage with NO WORK allowed. So I have to rent one.I moved into a 24X24 last year, but the next door guy was complaining about the noise of my flatbed tow truck. So,,,,if he complained about that I wondered what he would do once I put the car back together:banghead:Wathched craigslist for monthes before I found the one I'm moving into now.Moving SUKS!Here's a few pic's leaving the old and filling the new.I'm better than half way there,Still have to finish the floor plan with the shelves & cabinets:violent1:This place cost $600 p/m + electric & water:wack::silent:

Come on down...I'll rent you the same square footage for about 60% of what you're paying now! Ha!

Looks like a decent layout, and entrances on two sides.

...I believe cars are meant to be driven (some meant to be driven hard) and garages are meant to be worked in :)

The back yard of my new (its old, new to me) house. Its a corner lot in a large close with green space. House is nothing special but when I saw the back yard with two garages I knew it was for me. Older buildings which I will do some upgrading to some day. The three car garage has only two doors on it, but no biggee. For now only the 2 car is insulated and has heat, but thats good enough for me,,,,for now.

Even with the 2 garages in the backyard there is still lots of room for my dogs. Moving in next week.

I was half asleep and saw the HUGE HEMI on the on the motorstand. The photo is so good for a second I thought you made a oversized example.:prayer:

Well, it's a work in progress along with the Valiant, but here's what I'm working with. We just moved to this house less than a year ago so I'm still working on getting shelves & cabinets up so I can get it more organized. Definitely better than outside in the gravel though.
