Going on a junkyard shopping spree. What cars (models) can i look for that carry an 8 3/4 rear that will fit in my 65 barracuda, and is there difference in 904 trannies, and if so which should i look for to put in the barracuda.
Not sure if you need to stick with the small bolt -pattern, but Early B-body (62-70) 8 3/4 aren't much longer and you just need to move the perches in and get the right offset tires. Can be a very cheap alternative to the chance in a million of finding a 8 3/4 A-body rear in a junk yard - or the cost of working with C-body axles.
