Would it be better two run 2 12 in fans or one 16 in fan and also would you prefer to handle the power by switch or a relay and temp system.....

Here's one I'm thinking about getting either with or without the relay stuff because I think it would be better to turn it on and off by a switch...

O and its going on my champion 26 in rad would two 12s even fit?

I just looked at the ebay link. That's a cheap price, but doesn't say how much air they pull.

Well I bought the too fans in the second link I posted there rated @ 1550 cfm per fan so ill let you know how they do

What would be better handling the power of the fans by switch or by a temp sensor relay kit ..... Thanks

i pulled the dual fan setup out of a 95 camaro v6 at a junk yard and it keeps my engine cooler than my old aggressive after market fixed blade mechanical fan. doesnt have high amp draw either. and i think just about any aftermarket fans would be better for displacement and amp draw. just my .02 oh and just run them of a switch with a inline fuse

relay would help the volt. spike...and techmo switch would be a great way to work the fans..set it at a preset temp and it comes on and goes off at a set temp.. there about 40.00 from you local advance store...:D

also to help keep the motor cool you'll want to make a fan shroud to cove up and close in all side that are not covered to the air will flow through the radiator and not around the sides by the fan...it will be a lot more stable that way..

I guess I have to question building a car and trying to cool it with $25 ebay fans? Also I have heard people saying the 3 row Champion doesnt cool as good as the 2 row because the tubes are smaller. To the original poster look into a quality set up with a shroud. I certainly wouldnt want to be be dead on the road because my $25 ebay fans quit.

Never went that route I'm still using a flex fan and the champion 3 row rad no shroud it stays under 185 all day

I'm looking at installing a 16" electric fan in my 1971 Duster 12 second drag car original rad, has anyone used the plastic ties that go through the rad that come with the fan or should I fab an aluminum bracket and mount the fan that way. Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated
