yea. thanks
i was going to paint the entire car fiorst, then install engine/trans/interior, but realized i am not enough of a pro to do it that way, so i have decided to cut it in, and install engine trans and interior, doors, hood, trunk and all other stuff, then tackle the outside body!

Looks nice. That weather today really worked in your favor. Good thing you took advantage of it. Lets see that engine compartment and trunk.

sorry, i thought i posted some of trunk and under hood!.
trunk did not turn out as good as i wanted, but better than i dreaded!. screw it, it will be a driver anyway. paint flowed so nice under the hood. hope the rest turns out as good

looks great Joe! :thumblef:

another good day outside to work on the car.

i got the heater box, clutxh pedals, all the wiper setup in the car.
also decided to do the black on the inside of the door before i put them on the car.

then, moved onto the headliner. boy, what a pain to do without a helper!. it will not be perfect, but i am hoping the heat will pull out a few small wrinkles i got in it. still have to trim it up.

Hej Joe, you're doing such a great work. It really will be a special car for you when it's done. Is that a 340?

340 it is. i was considering a /6 turbo build for the car, but alot of guys on here convinced me that since it is a real 340 car, and pink to boot, nothing else but a 340 would be civilized.lol

ok, got the new carpet in, seats in. it is all dusty, but weill clean up real nice.

whos carpet kit did you use? howd you like the fit?

looking really, really great. what part of VA are you in? im in and out of the western and central parts of the state pretty often.

michael

im near martinsville. the carpet is from stock interiors. i love there product. this is the 14th one i have used. 143.00 shipped off ebag

how do you like the fit, quality, etc? ive been looking at those for my new carpets, and stockinteriors offers a mass backing option which i like thje looks of.

they all need to be trimmed. i think the quality is great. it fits the hump, floors perfectly, and most carpets i have tried, get short up top near the heater box, and you can see some of the floor with alot of them. this one leaves alot of acces to cut and trim all the way to behind the box!

well, i was going to weld new pieces onto this fender, but it had rust issues also, so i decided to cut out the recessed light area, and weld it to the 72 fender
