Dana 60 - Pinion depth problem

hi, unless my math is wrong? 3.185 should be more than 3.125. if your measuring from the center, 3.185 is farther away than 3.125. the smaller number should mean your closer to center line. 3.185 is deeper pinion depth from center. try adding shims to pinion, and see what you get. I went and checked my setter and came up with this number.just food for thought. set your gauge at 3.125 and see how much space there is between pinion and gauge.
