I have somewhat of a dilema about my Ralley Rims. I bought the car a little over a year and a half ago. Steadily I've been working on it. The problem I have with the rims is, the guy I bought it from had all 4 powder coated. Don't get me wrong all 4 looked great! However in the process of doing the front end and then taking it to get aligned, and adding new tires, I find I have a bent rim so severe that it would take a torch and alot of "hail mary's" to get it to run true again. Which in turn would pretty much ruin the coating. Trying to match the powder coat is almost non-existant and the cost to ship 2 rims so someone could match close ain't worth the trouble. As you can see in the pictures, I haven't done a thing with the rim I replaced, it was used. The second picture is of one of the three that's powder coated. I figured I'll either paint them a satin black, or paint them all with the Argent Silver as they are supposed to be.
But my question is, has anyone painted theirs a black or any other color? If you have any pictures I'd sure like to see how they turned out. And if you have had any trouble keeping them cleaned up and in reasonable shape or wind up repainting them every other year...
Thanks

Thanks Homecloned & Mopardrt. I like that thumbs up in your last picture, it cracked me up.. What was the color you used?

Previous wheels I have painted with the most metallic silver I could find and they looked just fine ! Get your wheel repaired, take a Scotchbrite pad to the others and Kill 'em with Krylon !!!:D

Thanks 6pakattack The bent rim is gone.. the used one is the unpainted one. But I like the "Kill'em with Krylon", Cause thats probably what's going to happen.! Scotchbrite pads first though..

Take one of your powder coated rims to a paint or body shop supply store. They should be able to color-match it really close in a spray bomb can for you.

I talked to LeAnna about powder coating and it would be pretty expensive to strip the rims, and I thought of doing what you said. But I'm really digg'in the darker look.. Appreciate the input though!

Mine are "argent", that is just the translation of silver from french but that's the color on the spray can. These seem to be very close to the original ones.

Really shiney look Sport 360, maybe a tad more than I prefer, but very sharp.

95teetee, I'm really lik'in the dark look. I did pick up on the non-acorn chrome lug nuts that most people have. Took me a second to figure out what was different. Kinda gives the old school look...

Green1 & Holmes thanks for the input..

I sprayed mine argent sliver with a grey metalic for the centers cant wait to have my Mag 500's all the way around

Mopardrt..... Cool variation, I'd really like to see what the magnums look like after you get them on. Something too I seen in your second picture was the numbers on your scoop. Are ya happy with them?, been thinking about doing that to mine. I just have the dual snorkel scoop. Saw some emblems on e-bay that say " HIGH PERFORMANCE" done in red on the inner side of the letters.. They look cool. They're on a Ferd sellers site but what the heck, just don't know if it would look good..
Might have to hold the "contol" button and click.

How about these pictures, they show the color a little better:

yep, I used regular lug nuts painted to match the rims (thought they went better with that area of the center caps. And I'm cheap:D)
