ignition help please

it has the original factory witing, looks like blue and brown hooked to the ballast. I didnt check it with a meter but I used a test light and the 1 side of the ballast gets power when in the run position and the other is getting power in the start position, same thing with the + side of the coil.

OK do you have the single ballast or a dual ballast? I don't know for sure if it makes any difference but when I converted another car I once owned to electronic ignition I had to get the dual ballast not the single. Technically I don't know why that was but that's what I had to purchase. Does your wiring diagram show a single ballast being used or a dual? I have the 300+ Accel ignition on my car and for it to run I had to twist the brown and blue wire together and hooked the hot lead for the ignition box to those doing away with the ballast altogether.
