You could probably incorporate the inner fender brace you already have to the top of the arch for support using the same 90 degree angle and keep it mounted up high over the tires. Would look nicer and be a little easier for installation. Are the bottom tubes going to be attached to plates that wrap under the frame rail like the frame rail brace you have?

If I do these then I plan to make plates that wrap around under the frame rails too. They will be fairly wide to spread the load. I honestly think that it and boxing the shock mount would be enough, because most of the force will be upward, but there will be some force inward. I think a straight bar like I have will be better because it will take less twisting force from the firewall and would be cheap insurance. I hope that this all makes sense.
