Picked up the Harbor Freight Planishing hammer.

Thanks guys! yeah its a little noisy! I did fill it with sand however. That dampened it a little. Im also going to seal the stand, and fill the legs with sand as well. Ill be putting some rubber isolating feet on it too.

I tried that "fender" real quick and was pretty happy with it. I just sketched out the pattern on the flat sheet, cut it, and started playing with it. Just in the 20 minutes it took for that part I learned a lot about which directions to move the piece in when trying to form it a particular direction.

It seems most of my side work has come in the form of 30s, and 40s cars lately. As you can imagine its a bit more challenging to form a patch panel for those fenders than it is for 60s and 70s "squared off looks.

Ill update here when I get a few more pieces under my belt. So far though.... Im happy with this cheapo tool!
