Anyone going to be attending the Mopar swap meet @ the Gilbralter Trade center in Mt.Clemens this Sunday, 1/29/2012? Maybe we could meet up before/afterward for some beverages and b.s.?

Cosgig and blu340dart will be in our usual spots, right in front of the food court, tables 236-244. Stop by and say hi, chat, buy parts and enjoy the show!! I'll be wearing my FABO shirt as well, come by and identify yourself and get an FABO discount!! Geof

I will be there sometime in the morning.

I will be the tall skinny guy with the dirty red DODGE hat. :)

Id like to but i don't think its in the cards financially right now. That and with my wife being so close to her due date I don't want to be 80 miles away from home.

My wife and I will be there! We are really looking forward to it. We are hoping to find a new grill and some other things for the Duster.

Swap report from a swapper.... sales were off the wall, people buying anything and everything. I sold stuff that I have been carting to the swap for years now. Set up was saturday, and as of 3p.m. when I left there were maybe 1/4 of the tables full, I think due to an unadvertized auction of high dollar Mopar stuff in my town.

Sunday was a different story altogether. The place was jammed full, and usually it doesn't get crowded with customers until about noon, but this year it was packed from 9:00a.m. until about 2pm. I sold tons of stuff, and gave away more than a few items to customers that were doing cars and just needed an item. Ask the guy who got the 65 Cuda fender for free, or the guy who bought a few items for his Dart and got 2 doors and a sweet passenger fender for $35.00!!

I think the best part of the show was getting to meet a couple of FABO members, a couple I knew and a couple I didn't. It was great to meet Mopardrt, Smlveightis, Jysnflm, and of course our own 66Cuda. I had a great time chatting with every one of them and hope they all found what they were looking for!!!

As for my purchases... I bought an early A sport wheel for $60.00, a headlight bezel for my 66 for $10.00, and a few items to resell, which didn't but will probably list here.

I would recommend that anybody in the area come to the swap next year, there are over 200 vendors selling any and all models of Mopar parts, some high but most pretty reasonable. Its worth the $3.00 to get in fer shur!! Geof

Damn I knew I missed something this weekend. Oh well I spent the time with family and polishing my resume/cover letter for a promotion.

Geof, it was such a pleasure to meet you! Looking forward to meeting up with you and your brother @ some future events (so we can talk cars some more, and maybe have a beer or two or three..... i'm buyin'). The next meet, I'll show up earlier!!
I had a great time @ the meet, found a few pieces (340 balancer for $35, hood bumpers for $5, and a NOS turn signal lens for what I don't know, but for $5, it was worth it, LOL!!! ), and ran into some old friends who were there.
Hope all of you who went, made it home o.k. I was kinda surprised by the snow when I came out.
Steve~

Pretty good swap meet. I wanted to buy a lot more stuff, but I held back. LOL. Sometimes I'm like a kid in a candy store, which can be good and bad. I really wanted the air grabber air box for 70 super bees, but it was too pricey for me.

This is what I picked up.

14'' rally trim ring $5
drip rail corner and coat hook $5
SBP rally wheel center $10
grill turn signal lenses, like new $18
hose clamps and grill pieces $5
trunk mat new $25

i went and im sure ran into some of you (specifically the guys by the food) although i didnt realize. there were lots of people and vendors. i ended up getting an original paint color chart from 74 to match up my new paint and powdercoat for $5. also got a cool repro hemi poster for $10, a nos lockset, ignition, and trunklock with extra key for $90, and a set of stainless brakelines and fuel lines for $300 from inlinetube. it was a good time, and will definately be there next year, most likely with a booth. also dont forget about the next one at van dyke and 10 coming up. i also heard theres one in ohio this weekend coming up

I was down there from about 9 to 11 there was a lot of stuff down there some of the vendors had reasonable prices but I thought there was a lot of over priced stuff but that's just my opinion it had been about 15 years since I was last there but I do plan on going back
I did get a good deal on a 904 torque converter 4000 stall $100
If anybody remembers a guy in a blue uniform with yellow reflective strips on the legs that was me

When is this swap meet? Might have a few more extra bucks in my pocket........

after searching for over an hour, i havent found any info on this years event. i can say that the last 2 years have been rained out though. not sure whether they will post info later in the year, but the last few times it was in may or june, at the chrysler parts depot at 10 and van dyke. hope its still goin.

This swap meet already happened at the gibraltar trade center.

The swap meet at the mopar parts depot was rained out the past two years but should still be going on this year. I believe it it usually in may. I will post more info when it gets a little closer.
