I have a good amount of side projects I do for friends and have been hand forming patch panels for most sheet metal work. I recently decided to pick up the Harbor Freight cheapo planishing hammer.
I built the stand primarily because I liket o, but I have been known to be cheap now and then as well.
Anyhow.. I tried a small fender for my first piece and it came out pretty decent. This is the first time I have used one of these and I had to work this part in order to figure out exactly how to get the piece to "crown" like I need.
The tool itself is pretty sweet really. I paid about 150.00 with a 2 year replacement warranty. I had coupons and all, so it brought the price down enough to justify buying the replacement warranty.
We'll see how long it holds out. I have found that if you take good care of their pneumatic tools, they actually do last a good while.
