1911 lovers! Let's see 'em!

Seems to me 1911's and Mopars go hand in hand,so I was wondering-
How many other Mopar guys favor the 1911?

Here's mine,it was a stock Para Ordnance P1445 for about 16 of the years I've owned it.I spent a year working for a manufacturer. With full access to the shop after hours,I had the opportuity to do a little upgrading and custom finish work on the cheap,so I transformed it into a companion piece for my car.

First I added their hammer, disconnector, and sear spring,a Guncraft aluminum trigger with overtravel adjustment ,an Ed Brown stainless grip safety, changed to Morris (Heine type) two dot rear sight and eliminated the series 80 firing pin dissconnect.A friend of mine did a 3.5 lb trigger job,and I also had another friend fine tune the barrel and feed ramp, but other than that I did it myself.I already had the Hogue rubber grips and Pachmyer extended slide stop.I didn't change the thumbsafty to an extended or ambidexterous because I didn't feel it was necesarry.

I had it CNC custom engraved, then I reblued it,inlayed it and polished the slide.

It was my first time customizing a 1911 myself, and I learned a few lessons, but overall I am happy with the way it came out.

So,there's my story, let's see some of you favorites!
