Interest in Roll Bar/Cage Kits?

-
For sure wanna avoid cutting up the dash. I was willing to forego an A pillar bar to do this, allthough it would tie in very nicely with badarts j bars.

Just a short connector bar to connect the A pillar bar to the cowl area where the jbar toe plate is welded is all I would need if you are able to bend up an A pillar bar that doesnt cut into my dash opr my knee's either! I'd be willing to install an 8 pt cage if the A pillar bar meets my need's

Could definitely do an a-pillar bar in front of the dash. Gotta take some more measurements. Problem is going to be using DOM...most big companies use HREW which is almost a 1/4 the price of DOM. DOM is stronger, but the price will reflect it unfortunately.

Sounds like a DOM tube cage wil cost 75% more in material's which is a big hit. So let's say a cage hrew kit at jegs is $200 for examples sake. Is a DOM cage kit going to cost $350?

Just did some quick numbering...for what jegs sells as an 8-point, for $169, I could probably sell for around $300. Just to be honest, material alone would be around $140. I'll check around some more to see if I can get HREW...last time I checked, it would have had to come from Chicago and by the time I payed the truck fees it was just as expensive. Thanks!

As mentioned above, it would be right around $300. This would be the rear tubes bent along the roof line/rear window, and going through the rear speaker cut outs. If you wanted it layed out a different way, I could do that as well. This would be the main hoop, harness bar, door diagonals, rear tubes to the trunk, and diagonals from the main hoop to the subframe connectors. Nothing over the windshield, or down the a-pillars.

Kyle I would be interested in this do you happen to know if this would be acceptable in a 9 or 10 second car ?

I want a 3 point roll bar like Lakewood made in the 60's. Can ya make one of those on the cheap, and get it to CT without breaking the bank??

:D

This would be good down to 10.00 seconds. Anything quicker than that, you need a "cage" which is the additional of the a-pillar tubes and tube across the top of the windshield.

Kyle. I'll be in the market for one for my '68 Dart. I like the looks of your example pictures. But, it will be a while before I'm ready for it.

Here's what I feel a cage/roll bar should fit like. This is for a fellow member who is picking it up tomorrow. The main hoop is slightly touching the roof in these pics, but the legs are left long for the customer to cut to length.
This is considered a 6-point bar(door bars not shown), and would be $300. Will include 6" square plates for mounting as well. Let me know what you all think.
Thanks!

Sorry I didn't see this post before. I can bend up just about anything you want. Any pictures of this 3-point bar you talk about? If I can see what I working with, I can put something together for you. Let me know.

Kyle, you are on the list when I do upgrades on my car. Outstanding work. I like the SS seat mounts from one of your other post.

Darter, thanks for the positive words. Im really hoping this stuff takes off...at least to some extent. I feel like I am being impatient, but at the same time, its difficult to continue to build other new products, because nothing is moving currently. Time will tell I guess... :)

Picked up my roll bar from Kyle today. Excellent craftsmanship. Once I have it installed I will post pictures.

You know I'll get a cage when I can! I'm in line ,just saving up fund's. I think you'll have no trouble selling a DOM cage, far stronger than HREW.

Hmm not a bad idea, but it will increase the end cost of his product..

Might be outdated but it does show your skill at building cages, plus it let me know about other thing's you do and was not aware of. Would be a great thing if you could update it!
