Not really, I was on the roof of the US Embassy in Manila for 6 hours back in '87, took my eye out of the peep site (no scope for me, no BZO time with one before we helo'd in) for about 10 minutes during the whole time. O-4 over my shoulder telling me who to mark. Loaded, locked and on safe the whole time
