Zappa is an aquired taste, but one hell of a ground breaker. I always dug Nanook th Eskimo. :)

Anyways, I did aquire a new garage and a place to sleep too boot. ;) Here's some prelemanary photos:

Nice Joe. I bet you can't wait to get your junk in there. LOL. Seriously you are a man that has his priorities in order.

Wow good flashback for me,I used to listen to that album all the time..years ago LOL.Need pics of inside the Man-Cave Joe.:D Oops was listening while you were posting pics....nice!!

First thing I needed to to do is build the benches a bud gave to me. These are the electronics (Stereo, ham radio and main control center) plus party central control center. :) Please note the big shelf I built high for the monstrous 32" HD TV i got cheap off craigslist, lol.

The "Redneck Recliner" as my freinds call it is the backseat out of the '74 Ramcharger mounted on a frame I built and is now the doggie respite. I can kick back and have the dogs at arms reach. Very ergonomic and protected.

Is this a garage thread or a music thread?!?!

When I was young, my older brother had this poster on his bathroom wall.

Lol, Zappa is not for your average person. You just made me remember that I have a box of the Mothers, starting in the late 60's. Apostrefy (spelling) blew me away. Mud shark, can still picture bored people in a hotel. How about Deep Purple- smoke on the water? they borrowed Frank's studio. I used to have that phi zappa crappa poster.

And now reminded that old hard drive has a ton of Zappa concert vids, gonna have to transfer into new computer.

This thread made my night. No work, can't finish the car, etc. But now Zappa is running through my head, laughing my butt off. Ever heard his son, dweezil play a quitar? Wow.

Dweezil and what the heck is daughters name? Moon something? :)

Yeah, I'm a non-catacoragol (SP? LMAO!) greaser, geek, jock, shop junkie at 46.

Yep, she's Moon Unit Zappa. Her "Valley Girl" song was good for a few laughs, but I'm in the mood to travel out west ............. with my zircon-encrusted tweezers where the dental floss grows ...

Congrats on getting settled in Joe! I'll get you some Slimer wall **** out shortly.

Nice new digs ya got there ram,....Love Zappa,... a demented man as well as a brilliant musician,....ahead of his time,....his death was by far more of a loss than the lastest news filling the airwaves this morning...

Lol, cudachick; I have never meant a female that could listen to Zappa. Because they weren't paying attention to the lyrics. Frank made fun of everything, including hisself.
And write music for a full orchestra? What rock band can do that? The Who had it written, for Tommy.

I think people were turned off, by the chording, and flats that he got into. Listen to Frank, then figure out why Eddy Van Halen had a guitar built special, for the flat. (I had to get one, just to see how it worked).

I do miss Frank, Susie Creamcheese. Dynamo Hum.

Congratulations :cheers::cheers::cheers:
Starting to look like home again Joe :glasses7:
Maxi and Merlin has a nice area to run and play there
Do you have a doggie door to your shop in the near future ?
Knowing you have your own home to return to after work makes for a better day :glasses7:
