what do you have for a spare tire?

-
Seriously? a flat bed to the tire shop? you guys must be MADE OF MONEY!

I've got some old crappy 205/70/14 for a spare. would be nice to get something that was not as old and crappy but it does hold air and have tread and to boot its round!

either way i would much rather change a tire on the side of the road then pay for a flatbed and a trip to a tire shop.

but each to his own i guess.

My tires are covered for free repair (like nails in tire for example) and I have AAA. That being said for my daily driver I have a second set of wheels that I change out myself for spring, summer, early fall (other tires are winter tires). I do these myself no reason to take the car to the shop to do it.

I don't know why but there are links for tires and I didn't insert them.

What came stock in a 69 Dart? Have a spare but would like something that fits in spare well better (but couldnt put something like space saver on front due to header clearance concerns).
I cant stand the bulge in the middle of the trunk floor. Any ideas?
I was thinkin about building up a 2 1/2" platform/frame to surround it with foam rubber.

You do realize if you get a flat on the rear(you have 15 inch tires)and put one 14 inch wheel on,you will screw up your gear ratio and possibly do damage to your sure-grip.FYI:wack:

Cell phone is paid by my company, and towing is $5 per year on my insurance. Tryin' to sneak a 325/50/15 tire out of my quarter panel while idiots race past me at 70 mph on their cell phones. No thanks.

I have a cell phone and AAA as well... as last resort.
But- I have no problem bustin out the jack and changin my own tire if its safe and Im close to home. Brings back alot of memories... the good old days I guess.

I just looked at me spare in my 65....and it's a genuine.....RECAP!!....boy it's been a long time since I've saw passenger car recap.

Sweet!

Mine came out of my Duster, looks kind of like that except the rim is some weird looking orange color.

Is this spare and rim worth anything? I am going with a matching spare on my build and wanted to get like a quarter-mil out of my original unit.

here is a picture of my spare in my Dart. Got it out of a duster in the Junk yard when hunting for parts for my dart

Can you read the date code? Would like to know how old it is.

It was manufactured the 21st week of 1973. It may look pretty, but if you get a flat and have to use that, you will likely have another flat very shortly. Looks awesome, though!

Original, never down......

Lump me in with the 40+ year old spare tire guys.

Seeing this tire in the trunk is what made me get 4 redline re-pops for the outside.
