What irks you

After reading all these, I have finally realized....we are all a bunch of opinionated A-holes, just like the chev guys :banghead:

I think I have just changed my stance, and will find a way to appreciate anything that a car guy tries to modify, whether it is to my taste, or not =D>

What irks me?

When someone asks a question and instead of giving an answer another person acts like they are stupid for asking the question. "Everyone knows that" is a stupid attitude

Some of the know-it-alls need to remember that there are young guys who need to learn just like they did.

There is no such thing as a stupid question. If someone doesnt know and asks, that means they are trying to LEARN.

I cannot stand those stick on fender vents used on every piece of crap today. They looked cool on old Roadmasters but look like *** on new Escalades.

From reading these, it's probably a good idea that we don't all end up getting together lol..

Nah, we are way cooler and have better taste than Chevy guys

That is got sh*t right there!

LESS IS MORE: Two-tone paint-job's turn my stomach, regardless of color-combo.

Unless it's a rag top or a vinyl top, just leave the car a solid color, and add stripes if you can't leave it alone.

scary thing is, the guy wants 13.5K for it

There is a 69 GTX that makes the rounds of the show car circuit here, and probably other places, you west coast guys have probably seen it.

Its got the metal flake treatment and is all chromed out and has the crushed velvet interior, you know the look. Its god awful looking, i couldnt make myself take a picture of it, its so bad.

Oh, i guess i did take a few pics of it, dont throw up on your computers

good lord. throw some 13" daytons on it and be set...nice straight axle and t tops. looks like a wash cloth on the seatbacks

The only think that irks me is when people just through a car together and call it restored. Just because you put a quick paint job on it and spray painted a few parts doesnt mean its restored and worth 14K. Take the time and do it right, Its all about the details.

Theres a bunch of little things that would bother me on my own cars but who am I to say its not what someone else likes ?

American Flag Decals on your Yota,....Big Stoopid rims and tires,...Non funtional hood scoops,....silly *** wings,.....Over priced MoPars,....Any MoPar with a GM drivetrain,........and automatics...

I have no dislikes, but I sure have a lot of likes.
I always figure its their money or mine so do it the way you like thats what makes us individuals

my wifes dumb *** freind who just dose't get it that these are classic cars .not couches or a place to set down your purce or some too lean your fat *** on.

this thread has gotten way off track. It was more to point out things beginners do fixing up their mopar that look silly to us who have been Mopar lovers a long time

What is wrong with GM Alternators if it works better and cleans up the engine compartment?

the problem is dodge makes very high quality alternators and you can get up to 130 amps if you upgrade chev parts belong on a chev!. dodge made the regulator external for a reason.... so if it goes you can replace it in 5 minutes unlike Chev you have to take the alternator completely apart

leave Chev engine parts on Chev's, there parts are cheap for a reason!

I have a late model Ramcharger Bosch alternator in my '74 Ramcharger, am I now a pariah or am I OK because it's externally regulated?

BTW, I like white letter tires AND hijackers, lol. It's all we greasers could afford back in the day. ;)

I hate traction bars on a Mopar. I know nothing compared to many posters on this site but I've known GM slapper bars don't work, or look cool, on a Mopar.

I'll get slapped around for this but I hate chrome. A little trim, exhaust tips, gas cap is ok but bumpers and chrome everywhere else I actually dislike.
