thoughts on the edelbrock sp2p manifold

I have an sp2 on my 318 in my '70 swepty. It hits a brick wall over 4200, but I put this thing together for towing, not racing. I can idle this truck in 1st ('73 duster a230) and mash it off idle without any hesitation, backfire, hiccup. Just smooth acceleration from 500rpm to 4200. (still not its intended purpose) As far as mileage is concerned I really cant say, I was getting 9mpg with the tired 225.
70 D100, '89 318, '73 a230, 2.76 gears, stock '89 roller cam, stock '76 Plymouth van 318 manifolds, 2" duals, 40" glasspacks.

22mpg...and what set up are you running...for that mileage id get rid of my set up. Id like to start driving farther distances this summer and 22 would do the trick
