Warning: Non-Mopar Related.....Need Engine builder input

It's my opinion that with the long stroke/short rod and resulting short piston, that a narrow ring package would not be the right choice for an airboat. The street car 383s I was involved with had piston noise, and eventually a drastically shorter life. In daily drivers, they were pretty used up after about 20K miles. That was not sustained rpms like you're talking.
