Yep, great tow rig! It has so much torque it will creep on it's own
idling at 500 rpm. It didn't know the 'Cuda and trailer were back there.

Here's another pic from last weekend coming back from Carl Casper.

Pick your poison ....... LOL
They all have a purpose ...... at least thats what I tell the wife.
The 06 chevy (D Blue) and Dodge not mine.

The 99 7.3 Power Stroke 174k miles would have to be my favorite due to the purchase price of $2,500.
PO's son put gas in the tank and he had no idea why it had no power and blowing white smoke.

The 01 chevy (gas burner)114K
The 08 Power Stroke 98k is my travel truck

HAha,

Great minds think alike.

I really like my truck. If I could have purchased a Cummins for what I paid for my Ford, I would have bought a Cummins... except they were about 3X the price of my PSD. I like the OBS, old body style Fords the best too.

The only thing I wish it had was a 3.54 rear gear instead of 4.10's. Kind of limits pulling or really driving anywhere to about 60-62 mph before the mileage really takes a hit. get's 17-18 towing the trailer at 62, about 13-14 at 70 mph. With 3.54's I could roll 70 and still get about 17.

I've done some mods to it that really helped power and mileage. Next thing is a 3-5 selector burned chip.

Just sold this set up last year, 40 foot Weekend Warrior (hauled our Wrangler in it) and tow rig was a 04 Silverado Duramax, 3/4 ton with air bags, large capacity rear end cover, performance computer, full length 3" exhaust, 35" BFG All Terrains, 6" lift. Sold the Wrangler too.... This economy sucks!

I just need to finish the electronic brake wiring, already installed the class 3 hitch. Should tow a lot better then my '04 f-150 with the wimpy 4.6.

Is it a 7.3L? I went with a DP tuner on mine. Woke her up big time.
