"How about a few pics of your daughters rides...I'm doing one for my kids now...."
Grassy

Dads... please feel free to post your kids projects in this thread!

Here it is

I have had a few Mopar's in my time and for my daughter.. at almost 3 (my oldest girl) remembers riding in my 1970 'Cuda 440 4 speed (that car was FUN!) and as she grew she heard all the stories from me and my buddies and out of all the Mopar's (for her) she decided SHE liked the Road Runner best (I had a 68 Satellite 383 GTX clone as my 1st car!), Specifically she liked the 68 and 69 version,.. Fast forward to today.. knowing the cost and parts situation on a Road Runner she has also grown to like the A body 67 to 69 Dart and liking the tail lights of the 67 Dart best!.
We found one a few years back as a roller (a 67 Dart) from a nice guy named Ben, He had completed the disc brake swap to the K.H 4 piston set up as well as swapped in a 489 case 8 and 3/4 391 rear and mini tub'd her and tied the frame.
We bought and brought it home to wait.Assembly this spring!, So far We have slowly..(too slow for her lol.. collected a rebuilt healthy 1971 4 barrel 360 w a 904 trans with receipts that I pulled out of a donor vehicle,We also found the missing bucket seats to complete the factory gold interior along with adding a center console set up! I found the dart a new heart beat here in wonderful FABO! (a Comp cam 268h cam) to run with a double roller timing chain and chain tension-er She will breath thru a Edelbrock 600 carburetor for now and exhale thru Hooker comp headers along with some cool at the ready exhaust cut outs! We have found a set of the wide Centerline's to fill the mini tub's and a full set of rallies for the street. My daughter Lena is ready for this car,.. "ANYTIME DAD!"
This kid is very responsible, graduated high school early and just finished school at 23 she has it going on! and pays her own way in her own apartment! the whole enchilada! I have pictures of her working on the car with her boyfriend but she wont let me post them as it might ruin her girl image..

I Cant be leaving out her Sister (because she would not let me)

So my daughter Kaley does not fancy the Dart as much as the Duster! it's too boxy..!
It took a while to find one in my budget and we recently found her a 1973 Duster, Space Saver with disc brakes and of course the folding rear seat..She wants to keep it a bench seat as she has visions of a carload of friends rolling down the street with the stereo blasting! yeah RIGHT!
That's why SHE gets a slant six for now..haha.
With the help of Dusterdude318 the front end suspension and brakes are being rebuilt complete! pictures to fallow..
The Duster is the factory baby blue and has black interior the rear seat has just been redone as new and I am looking for a better bench in black (she prefers the center arm rest and tall back) We will bring the Duster solid for her high school ride and later the Duster will get the full treatment as she wants it ( Mulan Rouge) with the white stripe. I do have another small block for it but not in a hurry for that as we would step up to the now waiting.. Super Six set up first ..after I see how her driving habits come to play here. Kaley does get great grades.. and reads at post high school level, she is near the end of her 8th grade now, She has been on the honor roll 3 times this year! And is the lead singer in a kid band named Suger Rush! as seen on public TV and you can follow them on you tube She also has the lead role in her Jr high play Mulan .
My daughters are truly GREAT KIDS :angel8: and We have been blessed to have them, As a Dad to be able share the hobby and my passion is just icing on the CAKE! since I had no boy's.
I have included a picture of my YOUNG GUN'S so you can see how truly lucky I am but I am sure I am not the only one with kids who have the Mopar bug.
Thanks for reading!
P.S
Feel free to add pictures of your kids projects, since I KNOW THERE has to be MORE Dad's THAN JUST ME AND GRASSY!.. supporting and passing on the Mopar Madness!!
Thank you FABO!:prayer:
this should be a good thread!Lets see your kids projects!:burnout:

We found our "father son project" when Jeff was 14. Paid $1000 from the original owner that bought the car in Los Angeles. You can see all 14+ pages of the resto so far at the link below.

It's been a great learning experiance for him and refreshed a lot of what I hadn't done in quite some time. It was a great way for us to be together whether it was crawling through salvage yards or just washing and polishing parts. He even took 2nd place in the Mopar class at a local car show. However being in the Army has limited time, money, and space to a crawl lately. Jeff is now a senior in H.S. and pitching and outfield on his varsity baseball team while maintaining A's and B's. He is even taking Automotive Technologies classes at Central Texas College and is getting all A's there. Once he graduates H.S., he plans to continue at CTC and then transfer to Texas A&M-Central Texas to continue his studies and play ball for them too. He makes me proud just as your daughters do for you!
