Beware: Plum Floored Creations....

-
I guess my question for "plumfloored" would be. Why not just make it right the first time instead of constantly having to appologize for many mistakes and bad transactions?? Sounds shady to me and I would never give my business to a company such as yours as I dont have the time to chase your lame *** all around to get what I paid for!!!

On that motor I would call the cc compay and explain what happened. And the condition of the "low milage undamaged engine" and see if they will return your funds if you ship the motor back. You want nothing to do with it. I'm sure it will not last more than 20 min of run time. If you get that out of it. Btw I can get truck 5.7's all day long if you wanna go that way

while i do understand your frustration, i would not sit here, and bad mouth the other company, and in the same post, push your own parts!. not saying it is this way, but seems to me that you maybe personel attachment to it, like you feel he is taking business from you. just does not make you lookl good either.

AGAIN, I DO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE COMMING FROM.LOL

I can see your point but I'm not pushing anything. I make nothing on any parts. I am just trying to help out. A buddy of mine has parts I just put people in touch with him. That is all. He has no effect on any business I do or do not do. nor have I ever purchased anything from him. I just know a crook when I see one. And want to halo people avoid it at all cost.

Where are you at Ben!!!! Come on man!!!! We are waiting!!!! I wish I could kick your front window in but someone beat me to it!!

Plumfloored- "We have contacted him directly via pm on this site, offering to replace any damaged item such as fuel rail or coil pack."

I appreciate the reply to send me replacement parts but I already took care of it myself long ago and want nothing more to do with your company based on my experience with you just getting the engine. Why didn’t you offer a PM with the proof of mileage that I requested multiple times? A VIN that the motor came from? I made that an issue with you and not the damaged parts.

All of these bad experiences outweigh your half assed attempts and excuses to make things right. I am sure the complaints around your company will continue to grow on this thread.

Hmm a vin is extremely easy to get, most salvage companies cover their butts by keeping records of everything they sell. Could the engine be from a stolen car?

He is too busy using the hard earned money you father paid him to try and make his car faster. He doesn't have time to respond to customers. He got what he wanted (a pay check) so he doesn't need you any longer. Maybe it's time to take a trip down to his shop. And get what you need face to face. It's hard to ignore someone standing in front of you. Although I'm sure he will be "closed" 10 seconds before you get there and open back up 10 seconds after you leave.

Its hard to get face to face with this guy. Last time I was there I could here people inside but nobody would come to the door after beating on it continuously for over an hour. This was the front door and the rear bay door. I assume thats probably why his front window was shattered. I know he drives a b5 blue new challenger rt. There was a coronet in the back that was obviously rolled out just before I got there as you could see the wet tire tracks on the ground.

That or a dishonest shop selling "low mileage" engines that are not really low mileage engines at all. It also would not surprise me if the engines they sell are being pulled from their own high mileage cars and sold as low mileage engines. With this shop it seems its always whatever the easiest and fastest way around the issue is without actually taking care of the real issue.

Badass71 Contacted your father today, recieved an email from him today, called him Back discussed the revlimit issue, put him intouch with the man who manufactured the harness, and also refunded him what he paid for the computer on good faith that it will be returned.

Our phone hours are 9-7 AZ time and our typical shop hours are 11-7 m-f. We are avaliable on the weekends or alternative times by appt only.
623 986-5000.

I drive an 06 Charger R/T

We are not without fault, but we do try to make problems right when they do occur.

(Unfortunatly we did have an attempted break in about a year ago, they busted the window and broke into our enclosed trailer stealling about 5k dollars worth of parts. If you have information on that it would be appreciated.)

It does sound like PlumFloored is at least trying to make good on their mistakes. We all make mistakes, its what we do about them that is most important.

Just my .02

Thank you Ben. My father called me after he spoke to you and was very happy that you made good on the ecm. I am just kinda confused why it took multiple emails and phone calls to get this issue resolved. Either way it has been resolved for the most part. We still have a wiring harness that isnt working. I will contact the guy who built the harness and see if he can shed any light on issue.

I just read through this entire thread. The only words I have are WOW.

Some people want to give the benefit of the doubt and say they are making good. Are you blind? Every post that he made up for his mistake is followed by another guy pleading for resolve on another issue.

If you can't answer the phone, provide customer service, and ship quality products please do us all a favor and fall off the face of the earth. We all work hard so we can afford our parts and projects sometimes for 10-15 years just to be able to afford it. Then to have to fight with you to get their money back or just receive what they ordered is an insult to the very people you intend to serve. You claim to be a christian company..then for god's sake act like one! Be honest.

My advice to all of us here on FABO and FBBO please do not support these guys. And if at all possible lets prevent them from further destruction of our hobby and ban them from becoming a supporter of our site out of sheer principal.

That is my opinion based solely on my reading of the past three pages, I have no direct experience with them but will never.

God bless you guys, you have made my project possible.

JMO, for those of you who happen to be religious, don't read much into the "christian company" nonsense.

When i read that first post, where plum-floored announced that for seemingly no reason, my thought was that it was simply a PR trick.

Celebrities and politicians do the exact same thing when they're caught doing something wrong. They announce having found/refound their religion to get people on their side while really doing nothing.

My feeling is that anyone who has to announce their religion in their business, is one that doesnt have a reputation to stand behind. Because why else would you appeal to a belief system and not the praise of satisfied customers?

is integrity, or lack thereof. When you say you're going to do something, you do it, period. And that's how a good reputation is established. I'm in year 3 of a promised one year build with Ben on a 1969 Charger. It has been a complete test of patience for me. Capabilities were misrepresented. I'm a reasonable guy but I've got a Wall Street background and I expect attention to detail and professional delivery. I actually think Ben is a decent guy and a capable car builder with some real issues: namely, trying to do to much on his own and with a lack of organization and forthrightness.

After 3 years of the same thing, my frustration level stays pretty high. It is my hope that at some point the project will be finished at the level that was promised and I'll forget about all this. But I have no receipts from any money I've paid, many unkept promises to provide those receipts and a pretty consistent passive-aggressive response from Ben (ignoring phone calls) when I won't go along with his way of doing things - for instance, he tells me he's waiting 2 weeks for Air Ride to approve his vendor license so I can pay them for their system to install on my car. Later he says he's got a guy who wants to trade a new Air Ride for some work and then he'll install it on my car and I'll pay him. I said no thanks bro. I wouldn't mind doing this if I had trust that everything was presented factually. I don't have that, still waiting on a receipt for $1500 paid in June to finalize paint. I just want facts and brutal honesty in the people I deal with.

I don't think I'm getting that to the 100% level. Maybe I'm too demanding and everyone cuts corners but it's not my thing. Again, I'm not here to slam the guy but overall I have had a bummed out feeling about this project for an entire three years and it was supposed to be a fun build in my mind.

Try to pick a shop for a major project that is physically close to you. That way you can physically stop by every month or two weeks and check the progress. I know for some people that is not possible.

But if you live in someplace like Los Angeles, there are capable shops out there. Find them, do research, and talk to past customers with completed projects. Owner's, brothers, uncles, buddies, etc cars do not count much as past customers. Look for past customers that appoached the shop just like yourself.

BartBarton, have you seen the car in person your paying for? Has the progress kept up with the invoiced work? I would be seriously skeptical if I were you at this point.

AutoxCuda is right on with the location of the shop.....or at the very least detailed pics that coincide with payment/invoiced work details.

have you even seen your car lately? has any work even been completed that you have actually seen? you are by far , much more man than i for your patience. i had been following this thread for quite a while and i just cant believe the bs from that has resulted from PFC. if i were you , i would have jumped a train, plane, renta car or bicycle 2 years ago and got over there armed with a camera just to make sure you even have a 69 charger anymore. i wish you the best of luck and i hope they eventually come through for you.

Very sound advocation right there.

1. NEVER EVER trust any one throwing around that Christain stuff..
That is to make you trust them and give them some credibility..Which this man does not have or ever will..:finga:

2. That $5,000 break in ..I am guessing it is some one he has RIPPED off and they only way they could recover was by doing this..I would not be surprised if they took $500 and he clamied $5,000 on insurance.:---)

Many posts have said KARMA...What goes around comes around ..:violent1:

I wanna say I can't believe this is still going on. But I guess with some people they never learn til someone teaches them a lesson. You sir are more considering, paitence than me. You take my money and don't produce we have a big problem. I would be making trips to the shop periodically from the start. After all you have been thru I wouldn't be online I would be on the road. Just my .02 cents.

Good luck with everything, Aj

In response to all the above, yes I've visited Phoenix and the car is getting built. I don't agree that Ben should be off the face of the planet or that he's a dishonest guy. And I don't think anyone who doesn't have a dog in this fight needs to comment with hot air. I realize my own mistakes and a local shop here in SoCal could do exactly the same thing.

I'll repeat: Ben is not a bad guy. But he's left me little choice but to take my issue to the court of public opinion by refusing to get straight with me. I want things done by the book and with brutal honesty, not to mention how much less stressful it would be if Ben would just decide one day to honor all commitments and be responsive in his work. I've been straight up with him from day one and I'm like that with everyone I work with. I don't have these issues with people and he does rub a lot of people the wrong way.

From my experience it is lack of integrity and follow through, period.

Sorry but I don't get it / you make a public post about an issue on a public forum and then don't think people should comment on it?

Why post at all if what we have to say is just "hot air" to you?#-o
