Or a much better option is to use a cam with an intergrated cast iron gear on it so you can use a standard/hardened intermiate shaft and not have to worry about that.
I'd pretty much decided a cast iron geared roller cam like Crane or the hardened lobe Comps were my only options...
Be careful with that part. I bought the exact one you have here. Problem was the 2 oil pump gears I had were not drilled straight where the pin goes in so it was a waste of $$
