Bellhousing question?

I have one of the first Quicktime bell housings (RM-6071 MOPAR Bellhousing/TKO 500-600/T5 Mustang/TR3550) for the small block mopar . It is a very nice and looks to be quality engineering. I am going to use it for a t-5 installation on my early a-body.

I haven't started my swap yet, but have heard some great feedback from others who are using quicktime bellhousings. They have said that they didn't have the centering problems that most have with the Lakewood scatter shield. It is also more compact than the Lakewood (a plus for early a-bodies & headers).

I plan on using a hydraulic throwout bearing with this set-up. The trans bore is 4.687". They also provide two additional centering rings for 4.850" & 4.910" to fit all of the listed transmissions.

The only problem is that I can see is that the back of the starter is open and would need a shield fabricated if you were going to use is on the road. I plan on doing just that, as well as fabricating a cover where the mechanical clutch fork would go.

I ordered mine direct from quicktime.
