My friends,

Last December we had a very fine time here on Brazil and we found a very beautiful locaion to make some special shots on our 79 Dart, so we´re posting here some of the images for you, guys !
Hope you like them...

And these last two images were done by a very fine friend that works as an illustrator, he rended a homage to our beloved Mopar, his drawings are just amazing !!

Nice car. Looks showroom new!

Do the front and rear bumpers have "regular" bumper brackets or the "shock absorber" style that were started here in the mid-'70's?

What was the last year of production for that body style?

That must have been a fun day. I looked at the whole album. I always enjoy your photography, you have a very playful style. Your Dart looks absolutely stunning. Thanks for sharing.

Myron,

Here in Brazil Chrysler didn´t use the shock absorber brackets, they´re just the regular type, obviously for production costs. Our 79 Darts used the complete front-end clips & rear tailights from the 76 NOS american parts.
The Volkwagen bought the installations in 1979, the A-body Dodges and whole Chrysler of Brazil production ended in early 1981, leaving the factory to make a VW-badged truck. It was a pity, though.
The very last A-body Dart produced here (and believed to the the very last one in the world in its original shape & style) was saved from scrap by a very close friend of ours, completely rebuilt from ground up and now stays in his private collection. From 1969 till 1981, Chrysler of Brazil produced exactly 92.508 A-body Dodges, for local market & export.
Thanks for the visit !!

This day was quite incredible, Goldfish !!
Our Dart is in very good shape for a daily-driver basis, and we´re very proud of our 32 y.o. boy !!
Thanks for your kindly words !

I like how it has the 71 and back flush side markers looks great

I agree with you, Mopardrt !
Maybe this happened because here in Brazil we didn´t have the same traffic regulations as the US specs...So they just decided to keep up the same material as used on our cars...Just remembering that less than a hundred thousand A-body Darts were produced here, tagging for the upscale market share...
Thanks for the observation !!!

like Goldfish said, beautiful car and beautiful pictures.

(as a self-proclaimed photographer, I love the pictures for the pictures themselves, just as much as the car. Well done).

Thank you VERY MUCH, 95teetee !!!

I´m not a professional photographer, but I do like having some fun with the car & the places that can inspire me...
Hope to get soon a better equipment to make greater shots too !!!
Here in the place where we liv, I used to say that we´re truly blessed just to have so many nice views to click on...Too many different scenarios where we can use our imagination.
Hope someday you can come over & see them with your lens !!!!
