Anyone not getting cars out due to gas $ ?

-
If anything I'll be driving mine more... I get the same mpg with the ragtop as I do with my Ram. With Diesel going thru the roof as well, It'll be a fair amount cheaper to run regular in the ragtop as long as i keep the outboard carbs from opening under my right foot......

I have mine on the road every weekend to run errands around town, especially since our Winter was so mild. I'm paying over $4.00 a gallon for real gasoline, no Ethanol included, and Premium fuel at that.
I have two gas stations nearby which sell it (real gas), and to me it's worth paying the price to be able to take the Dart out on the street.

Like everyone else I hate spending that much for gas but I'm still going to drive both my
classics more than last year. They average in the 15-20mpg range depending on how heavy my foot is. You can't put a price on your hobbies or having a good time or else its
not that fun anymore. Also if you just leave the vehicles sit around and don't start and drive them, they get stiff & all gummed up and will cost money to get them limbered up and running good, so might as well spend the money and enjoy the cars!!!! have a good summer.

I put 100 Low Lead in mine from the Airport before I put it away for the winter and that was around $7 something a gallon.
I drive a truck so the Demon gets better mileage as long as I'm nice to it. But that does not happen much..

I did not purchase my cuda to sit around and my project big block charger wiill not sit around either.Reg. is 3.80 and diesel is 4.15 [my daily is a 3500 ram dually diesel] non eth gas is over 4.00 gal. i don't have to go far for cruise ins i only put about 160 miles on my car a month,i have cut down on long distance runs and pay to enter shows not worth it besides i'm not intrested in trophys.

I think I enjoy working on them more than driving them anyways.

My cars are my therapy and I would go nuts if I couldn't drive them.Wether it be working on one or driving one,It just brings a big old smile to my face.Hoping to make somemore passes at the dragstrip with the Cuda this year and those are only 1320 feet:burnout:
They"ll have to take the keys from my dead cold hands to get me to block up my Cuda
Doug

Still drive mine and will keep driving. My Dart has a 225 in it gets better mileage then my 05 Ram so I make out better driving the Dart.

I'm giving serious consideration to my next classic having a slant-6 for just cruising around and still enjoying the looks it gets and the hobby in general.
