Desperately need rims on stock

Like the 73AbodEE, I'm finding it hard to understand exactly what your question is. Are your existing wheels bent, broken, gone, have worn out or no tires, or are they just painted the wrong colour?

Here are a few thoughts from someone that's owned their Duster for some 20 odd years.

The car had 14 X 5 large bolt pattern (4 1/2") solid disc steel wheels and the original full wheel covers on it when I bought it with various mismatched tires. The tires were so badly mismatched that it required ALL of your attention just to keep it aimed down the road. A set of new tires cured the problem. When it came time to replace that set of tires, I put a set of 14 X 5 10 hole rally wheels on with the late (correct) caps, 195/78/14 tires. I ran that set of wheels for many years and sets of tires.

Currently I'm running 15 X 7 cop car wheels on mine (Feather Duster) with 235/60 BFGs. Had I used a tire with a little less sidewall height (50s maybe) or less cross section (225s or 215s) I might not have had the problem, but I had to trim the flat flange at the lowest part of the front fenders, just ahead of the tire, back at a 45 degree angle to keep the tires from rubbing on them (never found any marks on the tires, but it made a HORRIBLE noise). Static ride height setting is something to pay attention to also.

If you're looking to find plain solid center steel wheels, not all the solid wheels have the same center even when they have the same bolt pattern, something to consider if you have original hub caps (as opposed to full wheel covers). The original 14 X 5 wheels off my '67 Coronet carried hubcaps that would not fit the wheels on my Duster for example.

The post '72 disc brake cars all have the large 4 1/2" bolt pattern, and the late A bodies with drum brakes were generally though to have gotten them too, but many years of picking through junkyards has taught me the opposite. Most (but not all) of the '73-4-5s I've found with drum brakes tend to have the carryover 4" pattern, and while I agree with the second post that by '76 you should find only the 4 1/2" pattern, it is mother Mopar we are talking about here. If you have a Feather Duster with drum brakes, you'll need to check to be sure.

The 4" bolt wheels are out there, but if you do indeed have the 4 1/2" bolt pattern, you have a much larger base of cars to choose from as all the car lines except the '72 and back A body used them. Even now it shouldn't be that hard to find wheels from 70s and 80s rear drive Mopar cars in a junkyard or on Craigslist.
