I don't know if anyone else has had this problem. I ordered a set of light benzels for a 68 dart back in January, they say to allow 1 to 4 weeks for delivery. I called them after 5 weeks and they told me scheduled next week. Well next week they still did'nt show, so I called them again. Now this other person tells me they won't show up until March!... They told me it was because they have to come across the ocean!!!! If I had known that in the first place I would'nt have bought them, and looked for a pair here in the good old US. Well it's getting to the end of March and I called them this last friday, and they told me they have'nt got them the shippment will not show up until May!!!! Wow..... I asumed Year one was this big dealer in resto parts with a huge warehouse full of parts.
I can't believe they don't have a set of light benzels for a 68 dart sitting on a shelf somewhere.:wack:

I've had some good delays from them before, but not that long. The site never said when I ordered, I just got cards in the mail later, and maybe an email. From now on, if I need something soon (assuming I order from them again, which I probably won't), I think I'd call instead, maybe they'd tell upfront if asked. I think there's much better sources for most things than them anyway. And if there's that long of delay, you know it's likely China.

Has your CC been charged for it? In that case,y/o is in trouble.

I thought that they were better than that. I'll keep this in mind.

Been there,...waited for that. Took forever to get my battery tray that my wife ordered well before christmas. Finally got in early Feb. Made in Taiwan. First and last order.

Been there too. Companies would do a great service to let the customer know at the time the order is placed if there is going to be a BO. JEGS does this and I like it so I can plan.

Bottom line is. They want your money & you are hooked. It sucks

Got my tail light lenses form some place in AZ, only took a week ot tow....

yep same deal here ordered a OEM battery tray and a flip top gas cap , the battery tray was on national back order at the time but nobody bothered to say anything to me ,they just charged my CC and didn't ship anything , after a month of waiting I called and was told about the BO issue , they had the Taiwan tray in stock for a few bucks cheaper but never mentioned it , I told the guy to give me my effin money back and ordered from someone else .

can't somebody make those from aluminum on a c&c machine and polish them???

Same here with door panels, told me 3 to 4 weeks. 8 weeks later I got defective ones had to wait another 8 weeks very frustrating. If it is going to take 8 weeks then let me know so I can decide for myself if I want to wait that long.

And more and more of their crap is going to China/Taiwan, hence more delays and more defects. Just like everything else.

yeah had the same problem, ordered complete interior for my duster and when we started 75 percent was in stock, when done they bout 30 percent, and then they tacked on the $@%& shipping charging o my goodness:banghead: thought about telling them to stick it but i didn, then needless to say i got packages stretched out over a month or so till it got here, was not impressed at all did find out who makes some of there stuff thiugh so i am going to a nother supplier next time:blob::blob:

I typically find out who there supplier is and order direct, usually at a substantial savings. All Year One does is pass trough like most restoration suppliers.they do stock alot of what they sell but a good percentage is ether drop ordered from the supplier or ordered when you order from them then shipped out when it arrives.
Keep in mind I haven't ordered from Year One since the early '90s and things could have changed but it doesn't sound like it. David

Sounds like their customer service has gotten worse.
No, it sounds the same to me....crappy. I remember a time when they would take orders for a "new" product they were "now carrying" and using the order money to pay for the tooling up to make the part! Needless to say, there was quite a delay in delivery when you have to make the tooling before you even make the part.

wow , big wait,terrible customer service,and **** thier prices suck too.better just go to a swap....:wack:

Get your money back , buy them elsewhere. Because what it will cost you in brokerage fees , when they come you will save elsewhere. They are coming from China .
