I have a flaming river adapter for sale. for a power steering column to a manual gear box.

I would like to complete this project for my 65 cuda- I can't find the how-to thread anylonger. Any tips would be much appreciated!
 
Yes you need the shaft. The factory steering shaft isnt long enough to reach the U-joint. The shaft come long, you have to cut it to length then drill into the factory shaft for the drift pin or set screw. (I dont remember which it uses)

It tightens the steering up nicely.
 
Thanks Adam! Hey couldnt you just buy a good u-joint that's the right size for less money and make your own shaft/adapter to fit it up? Seems like F.R. and Mancini charge alot ($170) for this....there's gotta be a cheaper way? I've got my manual box, weighing options on converting it with my power column...

I will admit that F.R. piece looks nice in your pics!
