I found this old picture on my home towns Facebook page where many people post old pictures of the town, (Delaware, Ohio) and discuss them. Can anyone put an approximate date on this picture? They are all wearing their "Dodge Good Guys" white hats which might be a clue plus the years of the cars to include what I think is a Pontiac Tempest at the curb.

1967 was the first year for the White hat special, so that might be your tip off.

im gonna say 1970, the good guy hats plus the lettering on the dodge trucks sign. by the looks of the cars i would say it is the used car side.

Is that a early Barracuda I spy in the back corner? Very cool photo, thanks for sharing!!

MY question is, why would a Dealer owner take a publicity shot with brand X cars in the photo? I'm guessing they could have moved over in front of the building, and included the Coronet and service door if desirable. What's a chvvy doin' on the front row, anyhow?

the polara wagon is a 68, so it is at least that new...

I respectfully disagree, not that it matters that much, but zooming in on the wagon's grille it's a '67. So the latest model year in the photo is a '67.

My guess is the winter of '67-8. What do we win if we're right?

The picture came from the local newspaper archieves. The purpose of the picture, I do not know. I figured it came from 1967-68 because I suspect this is the used car lot or where vehicles were waiting for service so thats the reason for varied years and makes of cars. Secondly, the "white hat" campaign started in 1967 (per what I could find on the internet) and ran through roughly late 1969. My ultimate guess is 1967/68, but I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

Back in the day I remember that the White Hats were used in the 1968 Dodge Truck adds so my guess would be 1968.
