I was at my hideout yesterday of a salvage yard and the guy showed me an intake that he said wwas for a 360 FBI car. It still had the huge thermoquad on it and the intake looked like it was a hi rise style intake. It looked stock from what I could see. Couldnt tell if it was a single plane or dual plane but it was a tall intake. How much would this be worth-roughly- a guesstimate. He had that and an aspen?? R/T that was still mostly together. The carb was still all working-nothing stuck or rusted up. Sat inside a car for awhile, but not hooked up.

Aside from the ridiculous joke they installed on the 273, all factory LA 4v intakes were dual plane and pretty high rise. They were also respectable performance wise. The basic design didn't really change after 1971 aside from growing an EGR passage and moving the thermostat housing slightly.

Intake probably isn't worth much, unless it's a 71-72 non-EGR unit. Not because it isn't a functional piece, but because they are common, heavy, and have no bling value. A TQ in good condition is worth something, especially an earlier one. I would offer $50 for them both.

There are no high rise thermoquad intakes. They are all the same. Obviously the guy is a chebbie guy and used to a sissy *** intake.

Argee to a degree, the Ma MoPar part is a bit high "Compared" to everyone else and even some aftermarket parts.

Leave it to Stroker not to chrome plate a spade

Yea, I love it, someone has got to do it, I do it and get screamed at and dogged by sorry *** mutha's frakers that wish they had a brain to start with.

(Yea, you know who you are you *** -w-ipes.)

$50 a pop for the carb and intake.

Do yourself a favor and spend some money on a LD-340 if it is on the cheap. RPM if you have extra bucks to spend. It'll be well worth it.

I mean in relation to other Mopar intakes.....I digress. You're right though, the small block STOCK intake is higher than any other manufacturers small block intake I do believe. In that respect, they surely are high rise units.

..oh and don't stop bein who you are. Just tell um to get fracked. lol

There is certainly nothing wrong with those intakes and carbs, IF you don't pay extra for the "rare FBI option"

I will see if I can get a part number for it. I have an early 340 intake on my 360 now. I believe it came off a 72?? 340. Not good with years today- long day.
So what youre saying is that the Miami Vice/ Knight rider edition 4 plane triple quad intake and double dual exhaust headers with preinstalled muffler bearings that I have sitting next to the 16 blade radiator fan and 8 core radiator may not be real?
I will say this- it did look taller than most intakes I saw. It looked like a torker 2 a little, but definitely mopar made.

If it ain't Mopar made, it didn't come on it from the factory. Period. Even if it's an LD340 with a Chrysler part number, it didn't come on anything Chrysler ever made from the factory. Over and out.

Some early engines had a low single plane intake. 273 and 318 got them. They cam in 2bbl. and 4bbl. versions. The intake looks like it is flat as can be.

Yeah and there's even a stock iron single plane four barrel intake for the 340/360 headed engines. It came on marine stuff. You see um every now and then on FeeBay.
