Well, i finally got my stripe on (without having to post asking how to do it!), and my car looks the way i've been waiting for for some time now. finally broke the green up enough and it looks great to me!

hopefully i will get insurance and get it registered and get to put a few miles on it before the weather gets too bad to drive it. Need to find some of the small things that will require attention over the winter (other than what i already know needs to be finished)

I do have one question on the stripe though. Where the stripes come up the the seams on the trunk, there are a few spots right on the edge where it didn't adhere as well as i would like it, is there some adhesive that i can put on it to keep it down?

3m general trim adhesive, usea toothpick to apply a very small amount to the back of the stripe, let is set up, then press it down, dont do it wet or it will squeeze out.
 
just perfect! The stripe looks great but, The rest of of car sure helps make that stripe look good!
 
thanks, i'll give that adhesive a try.

The car looks great in the picture, but if you see it in person the body work is a bit rough. It was done by a previous owner, but i bought it to drive it, and the body is good enough for that. Hopefully the rest of the car is now too.

Drive it and do work on it at the same time.
