A guy I know in my area is selling:

Pair of Eddy aluminum 60779's, they are brand new, I remember when he bought them and he never used them.

He also has a air gap, brand new, same deal.

He is asking $900 for the heads and $175 for the air-gap.
Summit sells the heads for $720 a piece plus shipping to canada.
The intake goes there for $264 plus shipping.

My question is, is this enough of a deal to be in the doghouse for quite some time?lol Or is this an average deal that can be had again? I could use the airgap right away to replace the LD340 on my 360. The heads I would save for a 340 block stroker and that build is not happening for quite some time.

I think this is a decent deal, my wife however, may concour!

I don't piss off my wife.

The results:

I get laid whenever I want.

My life is very easy.

She brings beer and food without me asking.

LOL she will get over it, but will you if you pass it up? do the math, 1075.00 NOW or 1800.00 LATER plus shipping..at that rate , he may take a G in cash...... PS.i just dont tell her anything ....

After taxes and shipping(to Canada)thats 1/2 price!Does the doghouse have satellite??LOL:yawinkle:

P.S Dibs on the LD340 if your selling.

It is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask her, she says no, than your stuck. Buy Um!

Yes, it is easier to ask for forgiveness that in it is to ask for permission.....LOL

they get over it...a deal like that does not come around everyday..i bought mine for 1200 new in the box i was happy as hell

Buy any furniture you didn't want/need lately? Just some perspective...

I personally like what 73 said...just don't say anything. :p

why would that piss her off? if in the future when im married...if my husband bought stuff like that, i would be very happy......sure beats dumping money into dumber stuff that guys do......to me mopar parts are always money well spent especially when they make you go faster.

I would not piss off your wife if I were you!! Happy Wife, Happy Life! Just give me the guy's # and save yourself a lot of grief with the wife! lol.. Just messin with ya! Go get them! She'll forgive ya!

No Brainier!! Go get them! Now if you buy them and your not paying the house payment or the lights are going to get shut off that's a whole different issue.

Buy them! I was buying and selling parts before i met her, stopped after we were together to please her, problem was she always seemed to find a reason to be pissed at me. So I would resent her for it, now i dont care if she's gets mad or not. A side note, this is assuming you have an income, job or retired. Goverment assistance, then you need to use that extra money to get a job.

Sounds like she wears the pants and pays the bills. How else would she know? I'm looking at a rollback for $25000 and I am not asking permission . She'll see it when it gets here. If she whines my saying to her is , There's the door don't let it hit you in the *** on the way out. 30 years and she's still here. Dammit!!!

Can I trade for you? lol

Bills are still getting paid and I have a good job and another part timer. I just don't "need" the heads right away but will end up buying a set one day

Buy them and at the same time buy her something she "wants" but doesn't necessarily need! You only live once, and you learn by living! :D

If I spent $1,100 without asking the wife, she would get a bit mad, but she would forgive me.

She would also head straight out and buy herself an $1,100 purse.

After you buy the heads and stuff, and the black eye and swelling go down send all of us some pics so we can see what all the fuss was about........

I don't know, unless you want to make good friends with your hand for a month I would be careful!:D

Speaking as a wife (of 1968FormulaS340), I will assure you, yes, we get over stuff. However, your relationship with your wife is like a bank account. I'm not sure what your current balance is with your "withdrawals" over time, but it is disrespectful to your wife and the foundation of your marriage if you decide unilaterally to spend that amount of money without offering your wife the respect that comes from being included in the decision making process.

Women really don't forget. If you feel you can afford to make such a withdrawal from the foundation balance of your marriage, then go for it.

Personally, as a wife, I would instantly lose respect for you as my husband and that "shine" would dull quite a bit from your once glimmering halo.

You must make your choice and live with the circumstances/consequences.

Woot! Get'R Done!

Damn, a reality check! LOL
