going to try a smaller carb or put the original back on and jet her up.

LOL I have rebuilt the Carter AFB that came on the motor when I got the car. The afb is actually from a 66 big block. No idea on cfm, but I am guessing around 650 and seemed to be jetted close, so I am running it. I have a set of fresh 318 open heads, that I am porting (cleaning up the bowls and runners). After cc'ing the heads and running a .028" gasket it puts me right at 9:1, so pump gas won't be an issue. I am just going to throw on an old street dominator intake and call it good. Oh yeah I'm going to run 340 manifolds also.
